Will I receive an acknowledgement that my application has been received?
Each company advertising on Propertyjob.co.uk will have its own position on this. It is likely that you will get an acknowledgment, most likely an automated acknowledgement email. However if this does not arrive, please check your junk mail and if it is not there we suggest that you contact the company or recruiter who you sent your application to and get confirmation that the job application has arrived safely. At the very least it shows you are keen an conscientious and can personalise your application somewhat.
How can I update the information or CV PropertyJob.co.uk hold for me?

Can I apply for more than one job at a time?
You can apply for as many jobs as you feel match your experience and skill set.
How often is the Propertyjob.co.uk careers site updated?
Our current vacancies page is updated daily with new positions.
Why was my job application rejected?
We recommend that you contact the company advertising directly asking for feedback. Feedback is a very important aspect of the job search process. You have provided your time and effort in attending the interview, it is only reasonable to expect the interviewer to give you feedback as to what they liked and indeed what may need improving.
What selection criteria are usually applied by the employers?
The criteria varies on the role but typically companies will look at past career history, current role, education, accreditation , whether you are Chartered or not, responsibilities in previous positions, project history, contract form (permanent, part time, fixed, contractor etc), project value, sector experience and transferable skills. Use the application /CV to focus on your key successes and achievements that will suit the role you are applying for. Be prepared to amend your applications / CV to focus on the skill sets that are required for the role. If they want rent review experience, provide examples of successes, if they are looking for property management, then focus on that element of your experience. A one size CV / application fits all approach, is likely to hinder your application process.
What are the key steps of the property recruitment process?
Each advertiser will have their own process, but broadly speaking the application/CV will be passed to the company contact advertising on our site. This may change depending on the property sector / discipline / geographic location etc. They will then apply their criteria on the application process and then decide who they wish to invite back for interviews / recruitment days / assessment centres.
How long will the selection process take?
This can vary considerably. It is always sensible to ask the recruiters / potential employers what their usual timescales and make sure you get a contact name and number as to who will be dealing with the job application.
How does the interview process work?
The interview process can take many forms. Initially it is not unusual to have a telephone / Skype interview. This could lead to a panel or manager interview. This will enable you to expand on what your CV / Application has said and indeed understand more about the company and possibly the people you could be working with. Again, it is perfectly reasonable to ask the company or recruiter what the interview process will be and indeed what would be expected of you within the process.
Is my personal information secure?
Your personal information will only be dealt with by the recruiters and the company they represent. Propertyjob.co.uk will not hold your information unless you agree to send your CV.
